Allan McKay
Allan McKay is a VFX Supervisor and FX specialist with over 13 years of production experience working on some of the biggest Hollywood visual effects films to date. He has previously worked for many of the leading visual effects houses all over the world.
Previously working on films such as Superman Returns, Blade Trinity, Paycheck and recently completing Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoes new feature film Daybreakers. Allan has previously been the director of Catastrophic - his visual effects facility with a reputation for performing miracles with impossible deadlines and specializing on visual effects and animation work. While also producing and directing many high profile game cinematics, music videos and tv commercials and other special projects. Recently Allan broke away back to freelance and has been non stop working on dozens of new projects, as well as a new, soon to be unveiled, product line.
Outside of hands on visual effects, Allan contributes constantly to books, magazines and online forums and holds online workshops at CGWorkshops.com in addition to speaking at events and workshops worldwide. Dedicating his time to training other artists and working with various software vendors on creating a lot of the next gen visual effects software and technology.
