Steven Stahlberg (Maya Master 2005)


Steven Stahlberg was chosen as Maya Master for 2005. He is 46 years old, and is internationally acknowledged as one of the world’s best CG artists. Two of his most prominent 3D artworks are the virtual supermodel "Webbie Tookay", who was sponsored by Elite Models back in 1999, and the picture "One Last Time" (AKA "Fairy and Snake") that was given an award in the global successful EXPOSÉ 1 book where it also was the cover image.

Steven Stahlberg has worked with computer graphics for more than a decade, and is now art director and the head of 3D animation of The Virtual Talent Studio; Androidblues. Furthermore he is an artist, illustrator and animator.

About Steven’s background and career until now Steven himself says:

“Education: 3 years of art school (no cg school), after which I worked for 10 years as an illustrator. I've also spent about 11 years in computer graphics. I got my first fulltime cg job 1996.

I've worked for Digital Anvil, on Electronic Art games NSFU, Defjam Smackdown, the Sims and others; on Disney's Rapunzel; on the animated feature film 'Anne Frank - A life to remember', and on an animated TV series".
